EOTech Model 512 Black
The EOTech series of sights revolutionized red dots forever with the unique holographic technology and a large viewing window. The 512 in particular is preferred by many Special Forces units for its large 65 MOA circle during close quarters shooting and a 1 MOA dot in the center to aim more precise shots. As an added bonus, the large circle dot arrangement is a great rangefinder in a pinch.
The combat-proven EOTech 512.A65 is powered by two AA batteries and provides over 1,000 hours of constant-on time with lithium batteries or around 600 hours with standard alkaline batteries. Since this sight takes common batteries and has a programmable automatic shut-down timer, it is much more convenient to keep your sight powered and available when you need it most.
This red dot sight easily attaches to your rifle with the included tool-free 1″ picatinny mount bolt. The sturdy, lightweight aluminum design with anti-fog/anti-glare capability is ideal for when you need speed and versatility without night vision capability.

This is a perfect optic that doesn’t break the bank, solid quality and proven durability, eotech may have had some issues with some previous gen 512’s but those have been fixed. Combined this with your favorite magnifier and you have a even better optic that can stretch it’s leg’s, and that is a holographic sight the reticle does not change in size when magnified. People may not like that it uses AA batteries over CR123’s but AA are everywhere and new quality rechargable batteries like from duracell last as long if not longer than normal alkaline AA. Overall a solid purchase!

never regret the investment! Love the BUIS matchOwning an Eotech is in investment, and you are more like a temporary owner of a legacy. I know someday I will upgrade to the smaller or night vision units, but for now the regular AA battery model is very practical and I LOVE having a durable time-tested site on my primary weapon. I hemmed and hawed about less expensive knock-off’s and just wanted the piece of mind that it will allays hold zero, and be ready when I need it. I considered red-dot units, but really like the way I can use the MOA circle and in fast siting and quick regroup. I’ll be getting a flip-to-side magnifier to complete the investment. It’s better to by a reliable used EOTECH and still recoup the investment later, than buy a “other” brand and take a hit on value deprecation

This optic is top notch. Moved up from Sight Mark M-Spec, which is great. However, the EOTECH 512 is a world ahead. This particular model looks like military. Unfortunately, I cannot fit it on my AR-15s and use iron sights too.

EOTech is an amazing company that makes near bullet proof products. Battle tested and built to last. I have another EOTech that’s well over 15 years old and it looks and shoots as well as the day I got it. The one MOA dot is beautiful. Large enough to see your target but not too large like some other larger MOA dots. When the time came that I needed another site, with the experience I’ve had with EOTech, this purchase was a no brainer for me. Buying through PSA was a very smooth process and the lowest price for this product that I could find.
